     Hi, my name is Erica Bough, 3rd  Degree Black Belt, American Taekwondo Certified Instructor and Tai Chi instructor through Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Health Institute.  As a three time World Champion in Taekwondo, I had sustained injury due to hip dysplasia and a labral tear.  Recovery was challenging and I was in search for the next step in my training.  Little did I know that I had been so focused on my “training” that I was missing so much in life.  

     The Tai Chi for Health programs proved to be the perfect solution.  After only a month of Dr. Lam’s program and personally training with him, I saw definite progress in the functioning of my hip and other associated issues including my knee and lower back. I also found that with the addition of Tai Chi in my life, I became much more productive with my training allowing time for a truly happy life with the people around me. My goal is to share this knowledge with others and improve the physical and mental health of as many people as I can reach per Dr. Lam’s mission for the Tai Chi for Health programs.  Now that I am in post recovery, I’m now expanding Tai Chi techniques to the performance stage.  From musicians to actors and actresses, these same techniques can take your performance to the next level!
